Bindery Operator

Job Summary

The Bernard Group has openings for Bindery Operators. We are looking for the rare individuals who share our passion about building a great company while delighting our customers, partners and fellow employees. The position is responsible to set up and operate various bindery equipment and ensure the daily schedule is met in a fast paced printing environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Employee must be able to run bindery equipment in a small format capacity.
  • Complete job according to ticket specifications and produce quality work. 
  • Learn existing equipment and train on new to continue meeting primary responsibilities.
  • Troubleshoot production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Put away stock on shelves, break down boxes and clean up after shift.
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications and Skills

Education, Experience and Credentials

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in print bindery, cutter, folder, booklet maker.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Digital printing experience a plus.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Must have basic math skills.
